SUMMARY:Launch of the Alternative Material Certificate Framework
DESCRIPTION:Date & Time\nJul 9\, 2026 09:00 AM\n\n\n\nDescription\n\nPCX Solutions is launching the Alternative Material Certificate (AMC) framework – a financing mechanism designed to lower the unit cost of alternative materials by closing the price gap to fossil-based plastic. The alternative materials market is full of potential\, but why has it not reached the necessary scale? Alternative materials are struggling to compete with the unpriced environmental costs of fossil-based plastic. Levelling this playing field is key to accelerating the shift towards circular material alternatives. Join us for the Launch Event of the AMC Framework on 9 July 2026. We will introduce the AMC and discuss the role of alternative materials in addressing plastic pollution with Industry\, Research and Civil Society Experts.\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n\n\nNanette Medved-Po \nFounder & Executive Chairperson at PCX and HOPE·PCX Solutions \n\n\nNanette Medved-Po is the founder and executive chair of PCX and HOPE Groups. PCX Solutions\, founded in the Philippines\, one of the epicenters of the plastic pollution crisis\, advises companies and governments on plastic responsibility\, and manages the Plastic Pollution Reduction Standard (PPRS). PCX Markets\, headquartered in Singapore\, is a fully transparent global plastic credit marketplace that helps fund audited\, traceable plastic waste recovery and responsible processing. HOPE (GenerationHOPE Inc & Friends of HOPE Inc) invests 100% of its profits to improve public school education infrastructure\, agriculture interventions for smallholder farmers\, and environmental initiatives in both the plastic waste and carbon sequestration spaces.
