SUMMARY:Energy Ambassadors course 70
DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\n\n\n\nBecome an Energy Ambassador for your community group or organisation and be equipped to support others to reduce and manage energy costs\n\n\n\nAre you involved in your local community or do you work for a voluntary or public sector organisation? \nRun over 3 sessions (1.5 hours per week)\, this enjoyable and informative course aims to raise awareness of ways to save energy\, support schemes\, and how you can advise others to reduce costs and manage energy bills. We will provide practical resources that you can share with others\, and also send out regular newsletters and updates after the course. \nThis information continues to be absolutely vital. Although energy prices fell by 7% on 1st July\, this followed three consecutives price rises which equated to a 17% increase since 1st October 2024. National Energy Action estimate that 6 million households are now in fuel poverty and there are record levels of energy debt\, with nearly £4 billion owed to energy suppliers. \nYou will learn about: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll content is updated for every course to reflect ongoing changes in the world of energy. \nPlease note that this is a 3-week course\, 1.5 hours per week \n\nThurs 4th Dec\, 2-3.30pm\nThurs 11th Dec\, 2-3.30pm\nThurs 18th Dec\, 2-3.30pm\n\nThe course is funded by Northern Gas Networks and is free to anyone who is based within their operating area (most of Yorkshire\, Northern Cumbria and the North East of England). \nFeedback from previous courses \nThis will be our 70th Energy Ambassadors course since the project kicked off way back at the start of the first Covid lockdown in April 2020 and we have received some excellent feedback: \n“The training given initially and the updates throughout the year are invaluable to our organisation. Due to the work pressures we have we don’t have the time to keep ahead of what is happening in the energy world. This then allows us to support our elderly clients throughout the year.” \n“Kate and Chris delivered the course in a very relaxed and professional manner and made the learners feel at ease” \n“This has to have been one of the most useful and informative courses I have attended in a long time\, with direct relevance to our client group (older people) at this time”. \n“One of the best courses\, informative\, interesting and useful. Trainers who delivered made the course enjoyable. Great team.” \n“One of the best courses for information I have ever done – delivered really well and very engaging facilitators thank you” \n“It was brilliant. Pitched at the right level. Each session was the perfect length of time. Lots of great information and signposting” \n“All of the course content was helpful. Best course I have attended in ages. Thank you”

Thank you”
