Dr Jason Graham-Nye
Co-founder, The Greater Good Diaper Project·The Greater Good Diaper Project
Jason Graham-Nye has spent two decades at the frontier of the sustainable diaper industry. With his wife Kim, he co-founded gDiapers in the US, the first consumer product in the world to receive Cradle to Cradle certification, and pioneered the hybrid diaper combining a washable outer with a compostable insert. Kim and Jason now lead The Greater Good Diaper Project, eliminating plastic diaper waste at source across Pacific Island nations. The 15 island nations use approximately 800 million diapers per year, making up 27% of household waste. The Greater Good sells its compostable diaper in a deliver – collect – compost model. The project has been operational in Samoa for two years, is launching nationally in Tuvalu this month, with plans developing to launch in Vanuatu and Fiji in 2027. Jason holds a PhD at the University of Technology Sydney, focused on sustainable consumption and circular economy systems.
