About this project
Throughout the 2025 planting season in Maranhão, extensive site visits have identified suitable mangrove species and major threats to this fragile coastline. We work with Indigenous communities to integrate traditional knowledge and create new livelihood opportunities for local fishers. These insights guide large-scale planting during the planting window, alongside assessments of vulnerable species. In the Atlantic Forest, monitoring shows rapid growth at Paraíba, with endangered wildlife spotted.
