ICSD 2027: 15th International Conference on Sustainable Development Rome, Italy
About This Event
The 15th International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD 2027) is organised by the European Center of Sustainable Development in collaboration with CIT University. It takes place on 8-9 September 2027 at Roma Eventi Congress Center, Piazza della Pilotta 4, in central Rome, Italy. The conference offers oral presentations, poster presentations, and online oral presentations. Registration fees cover attendance at all sessions, lunches and coffee breaks, a certificate of appreciation, and online publication of accepted manuscripts in the European Journal of Sustainable Development and the conference proceedings (Book of Abstracts). Accommodation and transport are not included.
The programme is structured around three main streams: economic sustainability (covering financial sustainability, SMEs, microfinance, circular economy, green financing, and sustainable business models); environmental sustainability (including climate change, renewable energy, biodiversity conservation, waste management, and carbon neutral strategies); and socio-cultural sustainability (addressing sustainable urbanism, education, governance, cultural heritage preservation, social equity, and public health systems). Proposals are invited for research-focused, practice-focused, or theory-focused presentations. Oral presentations last approximately 15 minutes. Poster and online presenters must submit materials by 30 July 2027.
This conference matters to UK SME owners and sustainability leads because it provides a platform to share research findings and practical applications across the full spectrum of sustainability challenges. The multidisciplinary approach connects environmental, economic, and social dimensions, offering insights into sustainable business models, circular economy practices, and green financing relevant to smaller enterprises. The focus on creating a unified foundation through research, practice, and education supports evidence-based decision-making for businesses developing or strengthening their sustainability strategies.
