Miles driven
An average UK car emits around 0.22kg CO₂e per mile, all fuel types included. Your total is converted to an equivalent driving distance.
Cups of tea boiled
A full kettle boil uses about 0.1kWh, at the UK grid's 2025 average of 0.207kg CO₂e per kWh. A smaller, everyday-scale comparison.

UK woodland investments typically include Pending Issuance Units (PIUs), forward-looking units from actively growing woodland. PIUs convert to Woodland Carbon Units (WCUs) as projects mature and are independently verified. They cannot be used to claim carbon neutrality or net-zero status on their own. Speak to us if you need verified retired credits for compliance reporting.
Every tree planted and every carbon unit bought through SBS goes to a named project, with its location, verification standard and the Sustainable Development Goals it contributes to set out in full.
